This week for That's my story and I'm sticking to it I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at No Mercy.
The tag team championship match should be a good match and I think Brain Kendrick and Paul London will retain the titles. The tag team division in the WWE is weak and the WWE doesn't push any tag teams. Most of the tag teams in the WWE are just teams thrown together because the WWE doesn't have a storyline for the wrestlers. Raw has some tag teams but if you consider the teams you'll see why the tag division is weak. The Highlanders are a good tag team and are actually what most consider a legitimate tag team. Viscera and Charlie Hass are just a thrown together tag team and if Hass is going to be a tag team wrestler Shelton Benjamin and Hass should be a tag team. Cade and Murdoch got a push when they debuted but then were wrestling on the WWE internet shows. The Spirit Squad are the World Tag Team champions and you know it's a low point in tag team wrestling when five wrestlers are the tag team champions. Brian Kendrick and Paul London are wrestling Aaron Stevens and K.C. James at No Mercy and those are the only tag teams on Smackdown. Kid Kash was released and The Pit Bulls aren't a tag team. I think Kendrick and London will retain the titles because they are the only good tag team on Smackdown.
The Cruiser Weight title match should be a good match and I think Gregory Helms will retain the title. The Cruiser Weight division is a weak and the WWE doesn't make the Cruiser Weight title seem like an important title. It has been mentioned on Smackdown that Helms has been the Cruiser Weight champion for some record time but does anyone care? No, because the WWE doesn't make the title seem important and the title is only defended once every few months so the WWE can't expect people to care about the Cruiser Weight title. Another reason people don't care about the Cruiser Weight title is because there's only a storyline about it every few months and when was the last feud for the Cruiser Weight title? The Cruiser Weight division has some good matches but if the WWE is going to make the Cruiser Weight title seem important there should be a feud for the title.
MVP is making his debut and it's obvious that if the WWE hasn't even announced his opponent that he is going to win the match.
The Chavo/Mysterio match should be a good match and I think Rey is going to win the match. The Chavo/Mysterio feud has had some good matches but the storyline is ridiculous and it's disrespectful to have Eddie Guerrero's family involved in a storyline. I've said it in other columns that it's ridiculous to have Vicki Guerrero turn heel and I've said the reasons why it's disrespectful to have Eddie Guerrero's family in a storyline so I'm not going to say the reasons again in this column.
The Undertaker/Mr. Kennedy...Kennedy match should be a good match and it should be an entertaining match. This is a tough one to pick a winner but I'll pick Mr. Kennedy because I think Kennedy defeating The Undertaker will help give Kennedy a push and I think Kennedy has the potential to become a main event wrestler. The Undertaker is a legend and at this point in his career The Undertaker doesn't have anything left to prove because he's had one of the longest runs in wrestler history. There are very few who have been able to accomplish what The Undertaker has accomplished and that's being able to get over with the crowd for over fifteen years. The Undertaker has been able to develop his character and The Undertaker's character has never been stale because The Undertaker has been able to develop his character. The Undertaker also has a very unique character and has been able to portray the character very well. The Undertaker also has the in ring ability to have good matches and he can still have good matches.
The main event was changed to a fatal four way and I think it's obvious that the reason it was changed to a fatal four way is because the WWE knows that Booker T v.s. Bobby Lashy won't draw a dime. Batista is the biggest draw on Smackdown but he can't carry Smackdown and he doesn't have the in ring ability to have good matches. Bobby Lashy doesn't have the in ring ability or the charisma to be a main event wrestler. Finlay is a good wrestler but he shouldn't be in the main event of a PPV. I think the match will probably be a terrible match and I think Booker T will retain the title.
Overall I think No Mercy will be an okay PPV.
Until next week
