Who knew about the Montreal Screwjob?Well it is my opinion that many knew about the Montreal Screwjob including Vince, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and referee Earl Hebner. What is crazy is that Earl Hebner sweared on his life (or kids), that it would be a draw (or disqualification on both). Vince said he agreed with Bret on how the match would go and that would be fine (Double Disqualification), what ever Bret wanted. Both hungout with Bret, his wife, and kids and joked around with them before the match, thus lying to Bret and his family's faces. That's crazy. I watched the Bret Hart Documentary called, "Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows" (2 hours), which ended on the Montreal Screwjob. Great Documentary, anybody see it? It's a must see (along with Andre the Giant's A&E Biography). I just can't believe all this went down the way it did (I wasn't watching the WWE at the time). Vince hated Bret leaving so bad (thus Vince not getting his way) that he did this, after all Bret did for the WWE? That's crazy. It was cool to hear that one of Bret's main reasons for leaving the WWE was because of the direction it was going in, the WWE simply turned into "Smut" and cheap thrills, not much Wrestling anymore, he didn't even want his kids watching it anymore. I do give Bret respect for that. Montreal Screwjob History: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal_screwjob

I remember watching the movie about bret hart. I remember that during that era when Vince mcmahon was interviewed about bret hart with a black bruised eye i believed shawn michaels triple h, and earl knew the whole time about it.
I remember when Rick Rude left the WWE for WCW because he was so pissed about that situation and RAW had pretaped and he was on both RAW and Nitro at the same time during it's monday night wars thrus making him the first and Only man to ever appear on RAW and Nitro at the same time.... lol

I remember how shocked I was when all of this went down back in 1997. I was watching both Raw and Nitro back and forth at the time. Anyways I watched the Bret Hart Documentary when it first premired on A&E years back and taped it off of there, and it is a good one. I also remember like Johnny said when Rick Rude came to WCW and talked about that, I actually put that on your Miss Elizabeth tape Johnny and yours Iceman...lol.

Cool Nay, thanks, lol. I knew about Rude doing that, but didn't know it was because of or had anything to do with Bret and Rude feeling how wrong it was, great respect for Rude then on doing that. I always liked Rude too.

It has been said that Earl Hebner and Shawn Micheals knew about the end of the match.
