I Watched WWE Raw on Monday Night to view Vince McMahon defeating Triple H at Madison Square Garden. Cant say I was surprised to see Vince win this one. This match has been heavily promoted on wwe.com. Over on the WWE website last Saturday, they had an article titled "McMahon making history at MSG". In the article it basically talked about Vincent K. McMahon, the Chairman of WWE, will step into the ring to headline a match at MSG and how Vince understands the power of MSG; he's been the driving force behind all WWE events that have taken place at the Garden, and he's been present to see each of them carried out. I knew at this point what the result of this match was going to be. The reason Vince McMahon booked himself to win at Madison Square Garden against Triple H was down to his ego. Something he could add to his list of so called "Wrestling Accomplishments". He wanted to be in the main event and win at the MSG. We have all seen this type of behavior once two often. We have had to put up with Vince winning the "1999 Royal Rumble" to the disgusting "Kiss My ASS Club" among other things. Don't get me wrong, I think Vince is a genus wrestling promoter and should continue to take part in the storylines but I just wish he would stop booking himself in main events and put an end to the "Kiss My ASS Club" for good. Lets all hope he does not book himself to become WWE champion.
This Sunday at WWE Unforgiven 2006, D-Generation X will wrestle The McMahon's and The Big Show - Hell in a Cell. This makes me wonder will we see a new member of DX Next Sunday or even the next night on Raw. In my opinion, I think DX needs another member to prevent this DX storyline from becoming stale. As some of you may know, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman made an appearance with DX during the 9/8/06 RAW brand house show. Waltman joined in celebrations with both Shawn Michael's and Triple H in the ring. It has been noted in the past that Waltman has a good relation with Vince McMahon. So don't be surprised if Waltman joins DX at some point in the near future. Some of you may disagree, but I think it would be a great move if Sean Waltman signs a contract with the WWE. We will all have to wait and see what happens.
I would now like to talk about independent wrestling. On my website Warned.net, I decided to cover news, results and interviews with a wrestling promotion based in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The promotion is called Christian Wrestling Alliance (CWA). One thing I don't understand is the lack of coverage this wrestling promotion gets on other wrestling related news websites. Over the past few months main stream wrestlers such as Masked SuperStar (Bill Eadie), Brad Armstrong, Buff Bagwell, Lex Luger, Rick Steiner, Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner and The Rock-N-Roll Express among others have made appearances for the CWA. They also have a great roster of wrestlers such as Timber, Johnny Flex, Josh Magnum, The Natural Chris Chance and Hallow Wicked. The promotion is owned by Mr Roger Gleaton. Mr Gleaton has put alot of heart into this promotion. From time to time he gets involved in the action also. To find out more information on this promotion, I urge you all to visit www.cwaprowrestling.com.
Last month I had the privilege to interview Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) Wrestler "Alicia". Alicia started wrestling at a very young age. Now at the age of 19, she is already a veteran. Theres no doubt in my mind that one day we will see Alicia in the WWE or TNA. If you have never seen Alicia wrestle, check out JAPW World Wide at youtube.com.
Thanks for reading this weeks column. I will be back next week for another Warned Talk Column. E L Farrell
